The Shoprider Mikra is a transportable lightweight mobility scooter that is easy to disassemble into smaller and lighter components for ease of transportation, they will go into the boot of a car. They can come in two different battery specifications from new, either a pair of 12ah batteries or a pair of 17ah batteries. These are physically a different size so you need to know what you have fitted now, if not you should have a look inside the case to update yourself. We can supply both of these versions and longer lasting versions, more information on this will be further down the page, this offer is for a pair of standard fit 12ah batteries.

Fitting is easy, they have a spilt box, just roll each one upside down and remove the screws holding the lid on. then roll it back and you will see the battery inside.

The batteries them selves are valve regulated sealed lead acid, they will not leak if mounted on the side or flung about in the back of a car.

Looking after your new Shoprider-Mikra mobility scooter batteries is not complicated, they need no maintenance and they are sealed. However they do need charging, charge fully before first use, as they come out to you almost fully charged this will not take long. Charge fully after every use, it does this kind of battery no good to be allowed to sit in a semi discharged state for any period. It will always be better if you never dip into the last 20% of charge, this will help maximise life span. If you are not using them for extended longer periods then charge every two months, this will go a long way in slowing down the effects that natural discharge have on the cells.
