The batteries will come out to you almost fully charged, but you will still have to charge them before first use, your charger will advise you when it has completed a charge, the light will change to indicate this, while you may well be tempted just to fit them and go it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up in the right way before you start
it may well take a few charges and use in your equipment for the battery to condition and be able to take a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, once you have used your electric vehicle then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary, you should never go out of your way to fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run, if you are not using them for long periods then recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These batteries will require no general maintenance, they are AGM and VRLA, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in the home or on the road and for travelling by air, but you should check with your airline when you book your ticket
