Note some TGA Buddy came with 18ah batteries,
these are a different physical size, we can also offer these and extended 22ah batteries for the same, the higher the amp hour the further you can travel between charges, so if you do not know what batteries you have you should check, the links to these alternatives are in the tab or use upgrade above.

If you have one of the TGA Buddy scooters you will know how easy it is to take the battery packs off of the scooter, inside each of the battery packs you will have a single 12v 12ah sealed lead AGM battery, changing them is easy, once you have received your delivery from us unpack the batteries, there will be two of them, they might have a plastic cover over the terminals, this will have to be removed before you fit them in to your TGA Buddy scooter battery pack. Put something down on the floor or workbench wherever you are working like a cloth or piece or card so you do not damage your case and turn the battery box off your scooter upside down, you will see six screws holding it together, undo these and pull apart the case, inside you will see you old battery, just swap it out with the new one, and put the case back together making sure you connect up the wire to the correct terminals and do not catch a cable in the casing.

Once you have your new batteries fixed give them a good charge before you use them for the first time, it is going to take several charges and cycles before they reach full capacity which will be best to achieve over the first few weeks, if you are not familiar with how you should look after the batteries then this is for you. This kind of battery is capable of many thousands of charges, but this is only true if the battery is discharged a small amount, the more you drain the battery down the less overall charges it will be able to take in its life and it will need replacing earlier, so to sum up, charge after every use, do not try to run down the batteries you will save money in the long run.

If you are not using for a Long period then take the battery packs off your scooter and ensure you charge them every four or five weeks, leaving them for any period discharged will permanently reduce the battery life.

There are two batteries in this pack, they are non-hazardous and will not spill which is very useful if not imperative for a travel scooter, the battery type is safe for travel but you should inform your airline when booking.
